My sister and I had a conversation yesterday and she asked if?

If on a dark raining night at 7:30 pm, a 17 year old girl,  regardless of her race, wearing a grey hoodie, was walking home from a 7/11

If on a dark raining night at 7:30 pm, a 17 year old girl, regardless of her race, wearing a grey hoodie, was walking home from a 7/11, having purchased a bag of skittles and an Arizona Iced Tea and talking on her phone to a girlfriend, suddenly realized she was being followed by a man

If then her friend who is on the phone hears her say to the man, “Get off of me.”

Would he had been immediately arrested and charged?

If on a dark raining night at 7:30 pm, a 17 year old girl, regardless of her race, wearing a grey hoodie, was walking home from a 7/11, having purchased a bag of skittles and an Arizona Iced Tea and talking on her phone to a girlfriend, suddenly realized she was being followed by a man, decided to run. If then her friend who is on the phone hears her say to the man, “Get off of me.” They scuffle. The man receives some minor lacerations and a bloody nose; then pulls out a gun and shoots her dead. Would he had been immediately arrested and charged? Would the jury find him innocent of all charges?

Think about it.

If only George Zimmerman stayed in his car.     If  ….?
